• I'd like to test drive PayClix first. Can I do that?
  • Sure! Just click on the link here and we'll take you to the Town of Springfield, Kansas where PayClix is used for all sorts of payments. Look around. There's probably a business just like yours that uses PayClix. And if you need any help or have some questions, please call us at 1 (877) 370-9645  ext: 6000. • For me to use PayClix, I will need to customize the information that my customers enter. Does PayClix allow this?
  • Actually, that's no problem. With PayClix you can customize the payment page headers, footers, add your logo or other graphics and customize the actual fields that your customers will use, so that you get the data your need to manage your business receipts. Download a copy of the actual form that we use to customize your payment page. With PayClix, you really are in control of the payment process.
  • What is the Business and Organizations version of PayClix?
  • It’s a really good, web payment system for businesses of all sizes, private schools, government agencies or not-for-profit organizations who want to receive online payments on their web site and have the online receipts deposited directly into their bank accounts.
  • Why should the customer pay a fee? There’s never been a charge before for making a payment.
  • Actually, the customer has always paid the cost of making a payment. Stamps, mailing supplies or gasoline used to drop off a payment have always been the responsibility of the customer. With an Internet payment, these costs are merely being replaced by a single simple fee to the customer. And, your customers will instantly get a time-stamped receipt and payment history record that proves their payment was made.
  • What type of payments does PayClix accept?
  • Payments from checking or savings accounts (eCheck, ACH). Payments using credit cards (Master Card and Discover only)
  • What is the typical percentage break down of checks vs credit cards?
  • Our experience shows that about 80% of online payments will be made from a checking account.
  • Does the system accept Master Card and Discover debit cards?
  • Yes, but they are processed as credit cards because the system cannot under payment interchange rules, process a personal pin number.
  • What is the consumer charged for the transaction?
  • Payment using an eCheck is typically priced at $2.49, irrespective of the dollar amount processed. Credit card payments are typically charged a convenience fee of 3% of the gross amount of the payment plus $1.00.
  • Can the fee cost be set so that the merchant can receive part of the fee?
  • Yes. In fact many merchants ‘mark-up’ the eCheck fee to cover their own processing costs and PayClix rebates the difference between the service fee and the fee paid by the customer.
  • Our customers pay a set invoice amount of $49.95 per month. Can PayClix handle recurring payments?
  • Yes. In fact, the consumer can set this up in the PayClix online site or can call PayClix customer support and they can assist in setting up the recurring payment using the PayClix Virtual Terminal.
  • Our typical invoice is about $10.00. In this case, the fee of $2.49 is a large percentage of the amount due, what can be done is this case?
  • If volumes warrant, it is possible to have a reduced transactions fee for smaller amount transactions. You should contact your PayClix representative who would be pleased to discuss your particular situation.
  • How long does it take for the payment to reach our bank account?
  • Normally both eChecks and credit cards are funded in 72 hours. Another very positive benefit of eCheck payments: you will know about returned checks (NSF) 3 -5 days sooner than your current bank-mailed notification.
  • Why would my customers use PayClix? What’s in it for them?
  • The ability to make a payment electronically gives the customer more control over the transaction. The customer can control the timing of a payment, and be ensured that payment has been received. It is one more tool a customer can use to protect and enhance their credit rating. The customer receives an e-receipt which provides them with a positive confirmation that their payment has been received.
  • Can we offer to pay your service fee as a benefit to our customers for doing business with us?
  • The service fee of $2.49 per e-check, or the credit card convenience charge of 3% plus $1.00 can be paid in part or in whole by your business. The decision to charge more than the set fee, or the decision for the customer to pay all, some, or none of the fee can be modified at any time and is totally under your control.
